Engineer Dave Pensado hosts the weekly “Pensado’s Place” video podcast, which takes place on Thursdays on the ThisWeekIn Web TV Network.
Vintage King Audio, a leading dealer of high-end new and vintage recording equipment, and “Pensado’s Place,” a weekly video podcast hosted by Grammy Award–winning engineer Dave Pensado, announce a partnership that will expand the program’s robust audio industry coverage. Vintage King will be the official sponsor of the “Batter’s Box” segment of “Pensado’s Place,” a fast-paced segment in which A-Level guests answer Pensado’s rapid-fire questions about their preferred gear in certain applications. The segment gives insight into the favorite gear of world-class engineers and how they use it in their work.
The partnership officially launches on Thursday, June 9, with featured guest Jack Joseph Puig. Viewers can tune in for free every Thursday at 12 noon PST (3 p.m. EST) for the hour-long show via ThisWeekIn Web TV Network, iTunes, YouTube, Boxee, Roku, uStream, Justin.TV, Google TV and Apple TV.
“For audio professionals to stay informed about the latest recording techniques and industry developments, online resources are an absolute necessity which is why Vintage King is proud to announce our partnership with ‘Pensado’s Place’—the leading online audio program,” says Mike Nehra, Co-Owner of Vintage King Audio. “Dave Pensado is a respected authority in the audio industry and we can’t wait to hear his thoughts on exclusive Vintage King products. We’re honored to be working with ‘Pensado’s Place’ by combining our knowledge and passion for gear with the program’s incredible production team and ever-growing audience.”
With approximately 20,000 viewers per week (and rising), the “Pensado’s Place” audience is a mix of both professional and amateur engineers, producers, musicians and recording enthusiasts. Each week, viewers receive an authentic and educational discussion, as Pensado only endorses gear that he actually uses during his own sessions.
When Vintage King products are discussed on “Pensado’s Place,” viewers can expect “deep-dive” tutorials into Pensado’s favorite aspects of the gear, ranging from specific uses, to build quality and company history.
“I am thrilled about this partnership with Vintage King,” says Pensado. “When Herb [Trawick] and I envisioned this show, we wanted to abide by four simple rules: education, access, gold standard brands and cool people. Vintage King hits it out of the park on all four. I use and wholeheartedly endorse them, their customer service, brands and world-class knowledge bass. We’re happy to have Vintage King on board!”
