615 Music News for NAB/RTNDA: Company Adds Three Major New Catalogs to its Roster

NAB/RTNDA, Las Vegas & Nashville, TN, April 20, 2009 — 615 Music has signed deals to represent three significant new music catalogs. 615 Music President and CEO Randy Wachtler made the announcement. 615 Music is now representing the music catalogs “RSM� (Reliable Source Music,) “Live Source,� and “Adonys 5.1.� Said Mr. Wachtler, “’RSM’ is a popular catalog from the U.K. and we look forward to representing them here in the U.S. The music is diverse, and will be a very good fit for film and TV. Our L.A. office will especially do well with ‘RSM.’� He adds, “And ‘Live Source’ is also an exciting new collection that I believe will do very well for our clients. Reliable Source Music (RSM) is a London-based production music library that was founded by Wayne Bickerton, a famous pop musician. RSM is an established music production and publishing company that specializes in providing music to media professionals, by creating broadcast quality music for use in advertising, TV, video, radio, film, multimedia and corporate use, either off the shelf (production music,) or written to order (bespoke music.) Wayne Bickerton’s credits include having composed and produced over 30 hit records including the No. 1 hit “Sugar Baby Love� by The Rubettes. Having been named Songwriter of the Year in 1974 by the British Music Academy, in 1975-6 he was also named as top British record producer by the UK’s “British Phonographic Industry.� As head of Deram-Decca Records in the 1960s, Bickerton signed Cat Stevens and the Moody Blues, and later, as Head of A&R with Polydor UK, he signed The Osmonds, Neil Sedaka The New Seekers, Billy Connolly and many others. Wayne also served on the board of the UK-PRS for twenty years becoming Deputy Chairman and the Chairman – CEO.


Live Source, a catalog that features “live� musicians and composers who’ve worked extensively on a broad range of television projects, is a new library from Banshee Music, a sonic branding agency and next generation music publisher. ( )The expertise of Banshee Music, which was born out of GMR Marketing, one of the world’s largest brand marketing agencies, is rooted in both brand marketing and entertainment across all channels, creating music that emotionally connects with consumers.

Live Source features the work of composer Chris Hanson, whose work has been heard on every major TV and radio network, and within TV shows such as “Desperate Housewives,� “20/20,� “Sex and the City,� “The Apprentice� and “Deadwood,� to name a few. Adonys 5.1 is a new catalog from Paris that features all mixes available in 5.1 Surround as well as stereo mixes. The company’s 5.1 AC-3 offers clients the ability to insert music that is already encoded in Dolby Digital (AC-3 format) and is downloadable for use within corporate films, videogames, websites, etc. The company’s 5.1 Discrete allows the use of company tracks in movies, TV productions, advertising, etc., for projects in which music will need to be mixed with dialogue, comments, sound effects, etc. Adonys 5.1 has available on free DVD the separated files of the mix in SDII format (.L, .R, .C, .LS, .RS, .LFE.) In other 615 Music News: During NAB 2009, 615 Music will be offering “Happy Hoursâ€? with beer and wine to guests who visit the company’s NAB Booth # SL9111, on Monday April 20 and Tuesday April 21, from 2:30–4:30 PM.
