Wayne Bickerton’s credits include having composed and produced over 30 hit records including the No. 1 hit “Sugar Baby Love� by The Rubettes. Having been named Songwriter of the Year in 1974 by the British Music Academy, in 1975-6 he was also named as top British record producer by the UK’s “British Phonographic Industry.� As head of Deram-Decca Records in the 1960s, Bickerton signed Cat Stevens and the Moody Blues, and later, as Head of A&R with Polydor UK, he signed The Osmonds, Neil Sedaka The New Seekers, Billy Connolly and many others.
