Audio loudspeaker system. Over the last several months, Allstar Audio has taken delivery of 24 D.A.S. Audio Aero 38A three-way, self-powered medium format line array elements, eight Aero 28A two-way, self-powered line array elements, four CA-215A monoamplified arrayable subwoofers, and sixteen Aero 218A high performance, powered subwoofers. Additionally, the firm took delivery of four PL-48 transport carts for the Aero 38A‘s.
When queried about those characteristics of the D.A.S. Audio equipment that most appealed to him, Borne responded, “When I first met Kevin Hill, D.A.S. Audio USA‘s Sales Manager, we immediately hit it off. Kevin‘s product and application knowledge was thorough and I was equally impressed with the company‘s willingness to provide me a demo rig before I had spent a dime. Upon first hearing the Aero28A‘s with the 215 subwoofers, I really liked what I heard and was even more impressed when I looked at the system‘s expense. Allstar Audio recently used their new D.A.S. equipment– with much success–during the Children‘s Miracle Network convention in Orlando, FL. This particular event featured the Osmond Family–including Donnie and Marie–and was telecast March 14th on the ABC television network‘s Good Morning America show. Also appearing during the convention were CNN talk show host Glen Beck and the 2007 American Idol winner Taylor Hicks.
According to Borne, the event couldn‘t have gone better. “When the producers of the Children‘s Miracle Network show interest in purchasing a D.A.S. system for use at their home facility in Salt Lake City, UT,” said Borne, “I believe you can safely make the following assumption: they like it! For every event we‘ve used our D.A.S. system on, we‘ve consistently received positive feedback. This is precisely why I plan on expanding our D.A.S. arsenal with additional Aero 38A‘s, 28A‘s, and more carts sometime during 2008. There‘s tremendous value in this equipment.”
Borne also deployed his D.A.S. Audio equipment on a recent project for the Robert Gamez Foundation. Held in downtown Celebration, FL, this outdoor event included an appearance by southern rockers Hootie & the Blowfish. As was the case with the Children‘s Miracle Network convention, Borne reports another resounding success. “The band‘s FOH engineer was very impressed,” said Borne. “This was the first time he had ever used the system ground stacked, and the coverage was better than he imagined–given the standing room only crowd of almost 10,000 people. Every time we deploy our D.A.S. loudspeaker systems, we get positive results. The bottom line is this: D.A.S. is good for our company‘s business!”
