AUDIO & LIGHT TAKES DELIVERY OF DAS AUDIO AERO SYSTEM

Miami, FL – July 2008… D.A.S. Audio USA is pleased to announce that Greensboro, NC-based Audio & Light, Incorporated recently took delivery of an Aero system consisting of sixteen CA-28A line array elements and eight CA-215A subwoofers. As a regional installation and production company that provides sound, lighting, and video services for concerts and special events ranging in size from 500 – 5,000 seats, the company reports that their new system was immediately placed into service upon delivery—with exceptional results.

According to Jim Hoyle, Audio & Light’s President, “We felt that the overall Aero package quality was most impressive. The rigging hardware makes this system very quick and easy to fly, and our crew really loves this aspect of the system as it simplifies their job considerably. The boxes sound terrific and the coverage they provide is nothing short of amazing. We’ve dealt with a lot of line arrays over the years, and the DAS Aero system’s throw capabilities are really exceptional.

Audio & Light first used their new DAS Aero system at the University of North Carolina’s Memorial Hall. The concert, which featured Chrisette Michele, an R&B artist on the Def Jam Recording label, was a tremendous success.

“For this particular show notes Hoyle, “we flew all sixteen of the CA-28A’s and all eight of the CA-215A subwoofers. We had approximately 1,500 people in attendance for this concert and coverage throughout the main floor and the balcony was excellent. Of particular note, our client was happy. Apparently, previous systems haven’t fared all that well in terms of even coverage throughout the space as the balcony is so high, but our new Aero system did a great job in this room. Similarly, this was the first time the artist had worked with a DAS setup and both she and her FOH engineer were very impressed.

Hoyle reports that while their new self-powered Aero system offers the first-rate sound quality and easy-to-use rigging hardware they had hoped for, these qualities were not entirely what sold the system. “In our business, customer service is extremely important, said Hoyle, “as you never know when you might need a replacement driver or some other system part. In this regard, I’ve been very impressed with DAS Audio.

“When we first expressed interest in the system, continued Hoyle, “DAS provided top notch customer support right from the start. Kevin Hill, the company’s US Sales Manager, made a special trip to attend our first show to make certain everything worked as expected. We were very impressed with Kevin’s knowledge. Since then, we accidentally damaged some of the rigging hardware and, once again, the company’s support was extremely responsive. We called the company and DAS Audio’s tech support representative knew exactly what we were describing, and got the replacement hardware to us within a matter of just a few days. We’ve been very impressed with DAS Audio—both their equipment and the company’s commitment to its customers.
