Audio-Technica Holds Successful AT5047 Launch Event at Westlake Pro

— Standing-room-only event showcased the AT5047 Cardioid Condenser Microphone, the latest addition to A-T’s acclaimed 50 Series —

STOW, OH Audio-Technica, a leading innovator in transducer technology for over 50 years, recently launched its AT5047 Cardioid Condenser Microphone to a standing-room-only crowd at Westlake Pro in North Hollywood, CA, on the evening of Thursday, July 27, 2017.

The event featured a candid and intimate conversation with EMMY® and multi-GRAMMY® Award-winner engineer/producer/mixer Ed Cherney, followed by a demonstration of the AT5047 by GRAMMY-winning vocalist Darryl Phinnessee.

The most recent addition to A-T’s acclaimed 50 Series (which also includes the AT5040 vocal microphone and AT5045 instrument mic), the AT5047 is a premier studio microphone that features the same capsule as the AT5040 but with a transformer-coupled output and optimized electronics that help provide the highest dynamic range of any A-T microphone at 142 dB. It is equally at home capturing instruments and vocals.

George Adjieff, CEO, Westlake Pro, remarked, “What a great night! As always, the Audio-Technica team really did a magnificent job in working with the Westlake Pro crew to organize this spectacular event, and most importantly, in developing this incredible mic! Looking around the room was like seeing a ‘Who’s-Who’ of the music industry, with many GRAMMY-winning engineers and producers, as well as studio personnel from our L.A. music community. It was simply a wonderful night.”

The AT5047 is now available at a U.S. price of $3,499.00. For more information, please visit www.audio-technica.com.
