Oxford SuprEsser Now AAX Native
OXFORD: Sonnox has announced the availability of the Oxford SuprEsser in Avid’s AAX format. Managing Director, Rod Densham comments, “This marks a major milestone in a formidable two-year AAX project. Producers and engineers who have been waiting for full AAX compatibility can now continue working with our top of the line Elite Bundle in Pro Tools 11.”
“Porting our plug-ins for AAX is a complex and time-consuming task, because we feel strongly about respecting and preserving the integrity of the original Oxford plug-ins, which have become a worldwide standard in modern audio production,” Densham continues. “With the January 2014 introduction of the SuprEsser AAX, we have completed the final component of the Sonnox Elite Bundle, which we consider the Ultimate Oxford Plug-in collection.
“AAX development continues with our Sonnox Restore Suite and Fraunhofer Pro-Codec plug-ins due for release in the first half of 2014. We remain committed to developing the best sounding, most useful and user-friendly plug-ins possible.” Densham concludes. “The development of a number of totally new products is now a primary goal of our expanded design team.”
