DPA Microphones’ d:screet™ SC4098 Podium Microphone

ALLEROD, DENMARK, JANUARY 19, 2016 — DPA Microphones is proud to announce that it has once again been nominated for the esteemed NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards. This time it’s the company’s d:screet™ SC4098 Supercardioid Podium Microphones, which are in the running in the Sound Reinforcement category. Additionally, DPA’s d:dicate™ 4018F Supercardioid Podium, d:fine™ Directional Headsets and d:facto™ Vocal microphones will be used throughout the TEC Awards ceremony, a further testament to the products’ quality and company’s reputation.
DPA’s d:screet™ SC4098 is known for its ability to deliver clean, intelligible audio that is important for person-to-crowd presentations. Available as either an XLR or MicroDot solution, the line can either be wired or wireless via the use of DPA’s wide selection of adapters for wireless systems. Further, these microphones include the company’s thoroughly tested d:screet™ Miniature Capsule and interference tube technology. With controlled directionality and impressive noise rejection, the supercardioid d:screet™ SC4098 delivers remarkably clean sound at a modest price level.
Available in a variety of boom lengths and gooseneck options, the d:screet™ SC4098 can also be customized to specific requests. Three standard black and white solutions are offered as 15 cm (6 in), 30 cm (12 in) and 45 cm (18 in) booms with top and bottom goosenecks. The 15 cm length is ideal for hanging, while the 30 cm and 45 cm lengths are ideal for table/podium solutions using DPA’s TSM4001 Table Shock Mount. The d:screet™ SC4098 also comes as a floor stand solution in 75 cm (29.5 in) and 120 cm (47 in) lengths.

Presented annually at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, the Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards recognize the individuals, companies and technical innovations in the pro audio and sound recording industry. TEC Awards nominations are made by a panel of industry professionals and voted on by members of various professional organizations and audio industry websites. The 31st Annual TEC Awards will be held January 23, 2016, at the Anaheim Hilton. In December, invitations to vote for the 31st Annual NAMM TEC Awards are emailed to a variety of NewBay Media subscribers, as well as to members of the Producers & Engineers Wing of the Recording Academy, Game Audio Network Guild and select members of NAMM.
