DPA Microphones Showcases New Wireless Capabilities and Upgraded Booth Design at AES 2016

Company will also feature a Steinway Grand piano to demonstrate the microphones' state-of-the-art sound

LOS ANGELES, SEPTEMBER 19, 2016DPA Microphones will unveil its new GSM4000 Gooseneck Shock Mount Accessory and MMP-G Modular Active Cable for MicroDot for the first time at AES 2016 (Booth 621). Both accessories are brand new components for the d:dicate™ Microphone Series and give users the capability of creating a completely wireless microphone setup while maintaining the audio quality that DPA is known for. A Steinway Grand piano will be on display as well, to demonstrate microphones from the d:vote™, d:dicate™ and d:screet™ lines.  DPA will also be unveiling its new streamlined booth design, that will provide a cohesive look for the brand worldwide.

The GSM4000 Gooseneck Shock Mount Accessory possesses a clip at the end where the d:dicate™ capsule can easily be mounted with a preamp connected to it. Depending on the application, the user is able to employ the new MMP-G Modular Active Cable for wireless or the MMP-E Modular Active Cable for wired solutions. An integrated shock mount in the GSM4000 ensures the perfect sound is not affected by unwanted noise. The GSM4000 is available in black, has a length of 11.5 cm (4.5 in) and allows the microphone to be set up in different positions thanks to the flexible gooseneck.

The MMP-G Modular Active Cable is an ultra-transparent preamplifier with active drive for impedance balancing to reject frequency interference. The preamplifier permits the modular d:dicate™ capsules to connect to wireless systems with its fixed MicroDot connector that works with the wide range of DPA adapters configured for all professional wireless systems. All d:dicate™ capsules can easily be mounted on the MMP-G to present an elegant and discreet solution. The MMP-G is available in two variations: MMP-GR, with the cable extending from the rear, or MMP-GS, with the cable extending from the side.

“We‘re always excited when we get the chance to introduce new products to the industry at exhibitions, so I’m really looking forward to this year’s AES,” says James Capparelle, Marketing Manager, DPA Microphones Inc. “These new accessories give musicians and sound engineers wireless freedom while using DPA’s legendary d:dicate™ microphones. With the wide range of mic capsules that we offer, all musicians can choose the exact configuration that meets their needs.”

DPA will also debut a new booth design and layout at AES 2016. The new booth design was created to align the DPA brand across all markets and provide cohesive messaging globally. The booth features a sleek design, the signature DPA colors and graphics and new display panels that show the wide range of audio products and accessories DPA has to offer.

“All attendees are invited to drop by our brand new booth and check out our enhancements,” says Capparelle. “We’re excited to show off the new design and hope attendees enjoy it as much as we do.”
