EARTHWORKS ANNOUNCES NAMM ARTIST APPEARANCES

Milford, NH – NAMM Booth #6292, Hall A… Earthworks, Inc., a leading manufacturer of High Definition Microphonesâ„¢ for recording, live sound, and test/measurement applications, is pleased to announce that Winter NAMM—held January 14-17, 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA— will be an ideal opportunity for audio professionals to see the company’s two latest product offerings and meet several Earthworks artist endorsers. New products to be shown include the PM40T Touring PianoMicâ„¢ System and the SR40 Cardioid Microphone. Confirmed artist appearances include noted songwriter/composer James Raymond, the legendary keyboard and studio artist George Duke, FOH (front of house) engineer David Morgan, percussionist/producer/engineer Robin DiMaggio, and drummer/studio veteran Jeff Campitelli.

Earthworks, Inc. has several key artists and engineers slated to spend time at the company’s booth during NAMM. As individual schedules are still being finalized as of this writing, dates and times will be made available via Earthworks’ Facebook online presence. Composer James Raymond has written and produced numerous projects, including national spots for AT&T and the makers of Tylenol, along with television arrangements for CBS’s ‘The Client’ and ‘L.A. Doctors’. James, who tours with Crosby and Stills, was recently hired to score the WWE Studios feature film ‘Knucklehead’ set for release in early Spring 2010. An avid user of Earthwork’s PM40, Mr. Raymond will be at the Earthworks booth during the early hours Thursday*, the opening day of Winter NAMM.

Producer/engineer, pianist, and keyboard artist George Duke will also be present at the Earthworks booth. When it comes to capturing the nuances of the piano, he relies on Earthworks’ PM40 Piano Microphone System. George Duke has an extensive discography that spans a variety of musical genres. Be certain to visit with him* during Winter NAMM.

David Morgan has engineered FOH for several of music’s leading artists, including Cher, James Taylor, and Bette Midler. Mr. Morgan regularly employs his DFK1 Drum FullKit™ microphone system and PM40 Piano Microphone System. Be it stage or studio applications, David Morgan is an invaluable resource for his knowledge of these Earthworks products. His time at the Earthworks booth will be posted on Earthworks’ Facebook site prior to opening of the show.

Percussionist/producer/engineer Robin DiMaggio, currently drummer for Lopez Tonight, finds his DFK1 Drum FullKit™ microphone system an essential tool for capturing the sharp attack transients of percussive sounds. DiMaggio has toured with numerous high profile music artists, including Paul Simon, David Bowie, Diana Ross, Slash, and Johnny Cash. For those interested in discussing the intricacies of drum and percussion miking, DiMaggio’s time at the Earthworks booth on Saturday*, 1-16, from 2-3 PM and 4-5 PM will be invaluable.

Drummer/studio veteran Jeff Campitelli finds Earthworks’ DK25/R and DK25/L DrumKit™ Systems for Recording and Live Performance the ideal solutions for capturing drum sounds. Well known as guitarist Joe Satriani’s drummer, Campitelli has credits on all Satriani’s albums and has also worked with Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, and Kenny Wayne Sheppard. His time at the Earthworks booth will be posted on Earthworks’ Facebook site prior to the show.

Noted jazz musician and Earthworks clinician Chris Infusino will be yet another drummer/percussionist on hand at the Earthworks booth during the NAMM show. Chris is the full time drummer for the Blooze Brothers Tribute Band and is an outstanding resource for musicians and recording engineers seeking information about using Earthworks microphones. Chris will be at the Earthworks booth both Friday and Saturday afternoons during NAMM.
