ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC FANS GET THEIR FIX WITH MIXJUNKIES.COM

New Website Gives EDM Fans a Single Source for Mixes

LONG ISLAND, NY, JUNE 29, 2011 – Mixjunkies, a group of dedicated electronic music enthusiasts with a passion for the electronic dance music community, announce the launch of Mixjunkies.com; the Internet’s newest website designed to bring the latest mixes and performances to fans.

As any electronic music devotee will attest, seeing a favorite DJ/producer performing a live show is akin to seeing a favorite band or pop artist in concert. Show-goers know that they are getting the best from the artist because like any professional live performer, their creativity truly shines when they can feed off the crowd.

Up until now, finding all of these mixes becomes challenging as the files are scattered throughout the web. Many of the top performances are recorded professionally by Internet and satellite radio stations or by the artists themselves and placed

on the Internet. Along with these live performances, DJs create mixes and host them on their own sites, Internet radio stations and other web portals. This is where co-creators Matthew Cassella and Michael Marszycki saw the glaring need for Mixjunkies.com.

“There are all of these great mixes by the world’s top DJs, yet there is not one singular portal to locate them all, says Matthew Cassella; a DJ himself. “Mixjunkies.com is that portal; I like to think of it as the ultimate electronic music radio station where you are the DJ.

Mixjunkies.com boasts an organized site with artist pages, mixes, news and new releases separated by sub-genre and then by artist. Visitors to the site are greeted by a user-friendly interface. Mixes from the Mixjunkies archive are hosted on the server and are available for listening via soundcloud, mixcloud or other third-party embedded audio players.

Mixjunkies.com is a collaborative effort with its visitors. It values the opinions of other DJs and fans, allowing visitors to the site to suggest artists to be featured. In addition, artists themselves are encouraged to submit mixes for review and can be added to the site alongside other top DJs. This allows the site to constantly evolve and feature some up and coming talent as well as world-renowned artists like Benny Benassi, Daft Punk, David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia.
