Factor Audio Doubles Down on HARMAN’s Soundcraft Si Expression 3 Consoles For Theater Gigs

REDWOOD CITY, California – As an all-purpose sound provider, Factor Audio recently acquired a second HARMAN Soundcraft Si Expression 3 console to better serve its diverse range of clients. Having enjoyed tremendous success with the first purchase, Factor Audio continues to work with the Si Expression 3 due to its ease of use, great sound and affordable price point.

Factor Audio designs and engineers its own custom solutions to provide better sound quality with greater efficiency for its clients. Relying on an experienced team, it caters to indoor theater, outdoor festivals, huge conferences and intimate weddings. The wide variety of gigs and desire for greater sound quality and efficiency led the company to the Si Expression console.

“We like to seek new ways to innovate and streamline our processes, which allow us to engineer solutions that best serve our clients’ needs,” said Mike Thompson, Owner of Factor Audio. “After working with the Soundcraft Vi6, I’m confident that replacing some of my analog workhorses with Soundcraft’s offerings was the right choice. So far, my experience with the Si Expression 3 console has simply been terrific.”

Not only did the Si Expression 3 address the reliability issues of some of the older analog consoles, but it also offered more flexibility with the compatible CAT5 snake system and the increased channel count. Thompson also plans to acquire a 32×16 Soundcraft Mini Stagebox for added capacity.

“This console allowed me to reap the benefits of digital features without complicating the workflow,” said Thompson. “I like the graphic EQ’s on the faders, the FaderGlowTM feature, and the ability to recall everything at the touch of a button. The response is instant and gratifying.”

“Most importantly, for this price point I think the Si Expression 3 is the best sounding board on the market,” said Thompson. “The lower register is clear and punchy, and overall the console’s sound has a nice warmth to it. Unlike some digital consoles the Si Expression remains musical even when it’s pushed to extremes.”

While Thompson continues to explore the console’s potential by adding Dante capabilities, the team at Factor Audio plans to invest in a Soundcraft Vi3000 console in the near future.
