Fibaro Announces Major Integration Partnerships that Strengthen and Enhance the Fibaro Smart Home System

Chicago, IL – August 30, 2018 – FIBARO, a leading global manufacturer of wireless intelligent home automation and control devices, today announces a number of exciting integration partnerships that further advance the robust Fibaro solution and will allow smart home integrators and end users alike to augment their systems with new and exciting features from third-party integration partners including IFTTT, Cool Automation, Hunter Douglas, and Samsung.

IFTTT — Fibaro’s integration with IFTTT enables cooperation with more than 650 services currently on the IFTTT platform including smart appliances, security and many others, through easy to turn on Fibaro Applets. Certified by IFTTT, this integration is accessible through Fibaro’s Home Center 2 and Home Center Lite smart home automation hub. When creating an automation that syncs multiple devices together, users can leverage the Fibaro Applets on IFTTT to send a push notification if water is detected by the Fibaro flood sensor and can turn off the water using a compatible, connected, smart water shut off valve to help save customers money from flooding or mold damage.

“We’re on a mission to build a more compatible world for everyone, and we’re excited to welcome Fibaro to the IFTTT platform,” said IFTTT CEO, Linden Tibbets. “Fibaro customers now have the ability to connect their smart home and home center products to over 650 apps and devices in ways that matter most to them.”

CoolAutomation — CoolAutomation is a leader in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) integration market. Fibaro’s compatibility with CoolAutomation solutions enables Fibaro users direct control over a multitude of supported air conditioner brands. System integrators and users can enroll and connect multiple air conditioners (from varying manufactures) as separate devices within Fibaro’s Home Center 2 platform for robust and detailed climate control. Certified by Cool Automation, users can also manage each air conditioning unit all from within the Fibaro app as well as manage and control more than one unit at the same time.

“Helping integrators worldwide automate HVAC is one of our goals in order to allow consumers to control their air conditioner through a single smart home application of their choice,” said Cool Automation CEO, Igor Mitbarg. “Partnering with Fibaro, a fast-growing smart home platform, will help integrators improve the HVAC experience for their customers.”

Hunter Douglas — Fibaro, combined with Hunter Douglas, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of window coverings, now enable user control of supported internal blinds and curtains. Tested by Hunter Douglas, this integration enables control of pre-defined blind and curtain scenes within the Hunter Douglas PowerView app through Fibaro’s Home Center 2 or Home Center Lite smart home automation hub. For example, the Fibaro system can be used to detect high or low temperatures and adjust Hunter Douglas shades and blinds automatically by either opening the shades to allow sunlight in to warm the home or closing the shades to cool the home, which in turn helps to save energy and money on heating or cooling bills over time.

Samsung – The Fibaro System offers a simple and convenient way to integrate with the Samsung Smart Home Cloud. When connected to a Fibaro Home Center 2 or Home Center Lite, homeowners can control Samsung smart home appliances, including robot vacuums, washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, oven/range, and air conditioners. Leveraging the geolocation features of the Fibaro system, users can program their system to only permit the activation of their Samsung remote vacuum when they are away to ensure they always arrive back to a clean home.
