Fishman Goes Platinum On New Bravo Reality TV Show

One of the new reality TV offerings from Bravo this year is “Going Platinum,” a new music competition series for emerging singer-songwriters to become the next big hitmaker. Judges include Jewel and Kara DioGuardi (“American Idolâ€?) and other singer-songwriter heavyweights.

According to the show’s PR firm “’Going Platinum will follow 12 musicians as they battle through a series of innovative songwriting challenges testing their creativity, patience and drive. From dance track to love ballad, every episode will feature a different theme that will require the contestants to write and perform lyrics from multiple genres. In the end, only one will be crowned the ultimate hitmaker and walk away with a $100,000 cash prize, publishing deal with Sony, BMI Songwriters The Writing Camp and a recording deal with RCA/Jive.

Fishman provided a number of SA220 portable sound systems, along with a brace of Fishman Loudbox amplifiers for the production.

Walter Earl, Technical Music Advisor for “Going Platinum, recently wrote: “Everything sounds great. We have been using SA220 and I must say it’s AMAZING. All the output connections make life so much easier for audio to plug right in. And the Input side with the reverb and feedback suppression and mute button is just as great. I’ve been using these on the location shots. Recently we did a remote at 3rd street promenade and all of the SA220s made the day so much easier for performers, production and the general public. Recently been using the Loudbox amps in the tracking rooms, and it is another AMAZING product. Thank you.
