Focal Point Audio Technology an ultra high end manufacturer of professional audio equipment has released the MPA-2 Microphone Preamplifier.
The MPA-2 is a 2 channel fully discrete Class A preamplifier with full front panel digital control. Transformer coupled input and DC coupled output. 20 to 70 dB gain in 2dB steps. All functions are controlled with front panel micro-controllers. The gain is displayed with a dual 7 segment LED. Gain is set by 2 rotary optical encoders.
2 channel dual input gain section, full balanced output section. Ultra precision and multi stage voltage regulation. Servo controlled input and output section. Front panel functions are 48V phantom, 20dB Pad, Polarity, Loz option and Mute.
Front panel set up is saved in EEPROM so if power is lost it will be recalled when power is restored.
Front panel meters monitor output -20dB to +10db. Also a peak LED is provided to indicate +24dB.
No capacitors in signal path, +32dB output, Rear panel indication of phantom voltage enabled. Front panel LED indication of power supplies. +/- 24V, +5V, +48V. Built for the audio connoisseur.
