WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA, September 28, 2009 — Guitar Center Professional (GC Pro), the outside sales division of Guitar Center that focuses on the needs of professional users, continues to expand its operations and is poised for another round of market growth. The range of positive indicators includes the significant expansion of its sales force, which now boasts 65 staff members and 33 key locations nationwide; a newly designed / enhanced website featuring a series of online sweepstakes; a successful systems and products installation initiative and an expansion of product offerings that will be shown at the upcoming 127th AES Convention. All of these factors have contributed to the company’s growth over the past year and explain GC Pro’s increasing market

dominance. Together, they underscore the fact that GC Pro has taken a multi-pronged strategic approach to a complex market, and that strategy is proving to be a winner.

Over the past 12 months, in addition to adding new GC Pro Account managers, GC Pro has expanded its operations with new dedicated offices in Fountain Valley, California; South Bay/Los Angeles, California; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Tempe, Arizona; Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Cincinnati, Ohio; Seven Corners, Maryland; and Denver, Colorado. These new GC Pro locations provide an opportunity for customers to evaluate gear and take advantage of the pro-services provided by the division. The company recently went live with its new website (www.gcpro.com), greatly enhancing the user’s online experience. The new site features a streamlined interface, straightforward navigation and new market-derived content, all part of a clean design that focuses on the applications of GC Pro’s customers, allowing them to easily connect with GC Pro’s account managers and other sales staff. Additionally, as part of the new website, the company began hosting the first in a new series of online sweepstakes whereby several times a year, GC Pro management will select one particular product from a high-end gear manufacturer to feature on the website and give away as that sweepstakes prize. The first contest features a Solid State Logic XLogic Alpha Channel, a $995.00 value.

As part of its presence at the 127th AES Convention, GC Pro’s exhibit (Booth #719) on the show floor will highlight key products, including new Ocean Way Monitors and Neve’s Genesys console, a custom-crafted, expandable analog recording console with digital workstation control.
