Buena Park, CA – October 2013… Goby Labs, dedicated to bold innovation in the areas of musical instrument accessory products, is pleased to announce the introduction of the Goby Labs Tablet Frame Thingy Deluxe. The ideal solution for providing support for one’s tablet—be it on stage, in the studio, or anywhere else—the new Tablet Frame Thingy Deluxe includes new clip kits that enables the tablet frame to hold second generation or newer iPads or the iPad mini and includes a base that makes it ideal for stage or desktop use.

Apple’s iPad has found its way into the lives of people everywhere and has become a fixture among musicians in recording studios, rehearsal rooms, live stages, and in music education. With its ability to address such a wide range of applications spanning everything from being a convenient means to capture ideas, keep lyrics close at hand, and much more, the iPad is now a common sight among musicians.

Whereas the original Tablet Frame Thingy was designed to support the first generation iPad on a standard microphone stand, the new Tablet Frame Thingy Deluxe goes one step further by including a base that is designed to support the tablet on a desk, road case, or any other surface that might serve as a table. As with the original Tablet Frame Thingy, the new Tablet Frame Thingy Deluxe incorporates Goby Labs’ unique patent-pending closed-loop pole grip that ensures tight, secure placement for one’s valuable tablet. And when it’s time to place the tablet on a desk or similar surface, simply bolt the open end of the steel tube to the included desktop base and adjust the orientation using the thumb-release ball joint mechanism for precise placement.

Owners of second generation or newer iPads and the iPad mini will certainly appreciate the fact that the new Goby Labs Tablet Frame Thingy Deluxe includes clip kits that enables the tablet frame to support these newer generation tablets. Combined with the included base, iPad owners now have a versatile, rugged solution to support their treasured tablet in a myriad of environments.

As the mad scientists at Goby Labs are sequestered in their underground laboratory, Hosa Technology’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Jonathan Pusey, was strong armed into providing his thoughts about the new Goby Labs Tablet Frame Thingy Deluxe. “We always insist that our engineers listen to the input of our customers and, in doing so, I believe we’ve created an exceptionally useful second generation tablet support system,” said Pusey. “With the addition of the new base attachment, iPad users can now have one stand that easily traverses the gap between use at home and on stage. And with the new clip kits for iPad mini in addition to the current iPad clip kit, this system presents a strong, sure-footed stand solution that is supported by steel components throughout—further ensuring rock solid stability.”

The Goby Labs Tablet Frame Thingy Deluxe (Part Number: GBX-310) is available now and carries a MSRP of $54.95.
