PHILADELPHIA, PA – December 4, 2017 – Philadelphia roots rockers Hoots & Hellmouth will celebrate the release of Uneasy Pieces, their debut EP on The Giving Groove, with a hometown performance on December 15 at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer.
Uneasy Pieces, the sixth release by Hoots & Hellmouth, edges toward rock and soul with grit and grace. The band’s signature bluesy Americana sound forms the foundation, layered with fuzzy, reverb-y guitar and warm organ, offering easygoing grooves and upbeat hooks that belie the tension beneath. The album is released in limited-edition, hand-numbered black vinyl; MP3 and WAV downloads are available at thegivingroove.com.

Following The Giving Groove’s “artist-friendly, socially conscious” model, Hoots & Hellmouth will donate half of all album proceeds to Rock to the Future, a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2010 that provides music education for Philadelphia’s underserved youth, at no cost to them or their families. Rock to the Future aims to empower individuals and strengthen communities through programs that ignite passion and creativity, support academic achievement, and improve self-esteem.
