Integrated Media Technologies Names Chan Mahon as Executive Vice President of Broadcast Systems

Film & TV Industry Leader Brings Vast Experience to Major Systems Integrator

Chan Mahon. IMT’s Executive Vice President of Broadcast Systems

Integrated Media Technologies, Inc. (IMT) has named Chan Mahon as the company’s new Executive Vice President of Broadcast Systems. Mahon joins IMT following years in top positions with leading film and TV production houses.

“I bring to IMT firsthand experience from both a producer and facility manager’s perspective, which is essential to the understanding of today’s broadcast and new media solutions,” Mahon emphasizes. “IMT is focused on exactly the advanced work flows our industry’s end users are looking to design and implement to be competitive.”

The son of film director and producer Barry Mahon, Chan Mahon started out with CBS in-house productions in the early 80’s. In the early

90s, after successfully supervising many television and feature film productions, he moved to the new 24-hour cable and broadcast Network One, serving as Executive VP and General Manager.

“Chan comes to IMT with an impressive background in entertainment media and a clear view of today’s complex production, post-production and broadcast requirements,” stated Bruce Lyon, CEO of IMT. “He thoroughly understands the logistics of high-end media and broadcast technologies and works with our clients as a systems designer and integrator with a true insider’s perspective.”

Following stints with CBS, Columbia Pictures Television, Imagine Films and Network One, Mahon founded Programming Services, Inc., which pioneered the use of new digitization technologies in satellite programming. In the new millennium he was president of C3D Digital, best known for its highly regarded stereoscopic tools for the conversion of standard 2D content to stereo-3D.

In 2003, Mahon became president and general manager of TV Pro Gear, which specialized in high-end video systems and integrated solutions. By 2006, he had transitioned the company from exclusively a studio equipment liquidation company to an international systems design and integration company.

Prior to joining Integrated Media Technologies, Mahon was VP of Integrated Services at Key Code Media, winning major contracts and implementations with media companies such as AOL, the CBS/Dr. Phil Show, Endemol Productions, The Conan O’Brien Show, and Trinity Broadcast, to name a few. Mahon quickly established Key Code as a leader among the nation’s most successful competitors.

“When selling technology, we don’t sell components and products, we sell solutions,” Mahon concludes. “You have to do a thorough analysis and figure out the client’s objectives. I have been in their shoes and it is tremendously helpful with high-end clients to fully understand what their business objectives are. If they succeed, we succeed.”
