This new mixer draws on the design philosophy of the DJM-V10, the 6-channel professional DJ mixer used at festivals and clubs around the world, which is renowned for its outstanding sound quality and precise mixing performance, making it a favorite among DJs.

The DJM-V5 takes the essence of the DJM-V10 and condenses it into a more compact 3-channel unit. While it’s physically smaller, it offers massive potential for uncompromising creative mixing, even in DJ booths with limited space. With a more advanced range of effects, including upgraded filters and Send FX, allowing artists to express themselves when playing with the DJM-V5 – no matter what the setting. And the built-in SonicLink transmitter, which uses AlphaTheta’s unique ultra-low-latency wireless technology, enables artists to perform with greater freedom. Simply pair it with HDJ-F10 headphones and monitor the music wirelessly with minimal latency, giving new possibilities to enjoy a seamless and flexible mixing environment.

Smooth mixing in a compact design that delivers pro-level control

Mix intuitively and creatively on the 3-channel DJM-V5, even in DJ booths with limited space. The mixer inherits the layout, tactile feel, and many features of the DJM-V10 – including the 4-band EQ, compressor, filter, and Send FX – but has a 30% smaller footprint. While it’s compact in size, the DJM-V5 retains a professional feel with flexible sound-shaping capabilities. Artists can precisely control levels with the 60-mm long-throw channel faders from the DJM-V10-LF and the new Soft Mix Curve fader mode which automatically applies subtle high-frequency attenuation to create smoother, more natural blends – helping performers express themselves through sound in the most delicate and nuanced ways.

High-resolution, warm sound quality

Building on the acclaimed high-resolution warm sound of the DJM-V10, the DJM-V5 delivers well-balanced mixing that avoids sonic saturation – even when multiple audio sources are layered. It features studio-grade 96 kHz / 64-bit mixing DSP processing, with high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters from ESS Technology built into the channel input and master output sections. Every audio component was carefully selected and optimized for the unit, with repeated listening tests conducted in real-world environments including clubs. The result is a refined audio signature that maximizes the contours of every sound, the spatial expression, and even the silence between notes – creating an immersive experience where each element stands out clearly and the overall mix feels smooth and energetic.

Creative freedom with a variety of effects

Widen spatial expression with 6 types of Send FX

Add texture to the music with 6 expressive effects: Short Delay, Reverb, Shimmer, Tape Echo, Ping Pong, and Echo-Verb. Each channel features a dedicated send knob so artists can intuitively adjust the amount of effect applied to individual tracks. The time knob, which controls each effect’s time parameter and decay, includes a unique clicking mechanism that varies depending on the effect.

• Tape Echo, Ping Pong, Echo-Verb: Tactile clicks are added in sync with the BPM – ranging from 1/16 note to 1 beat – which can be applied to these effects precisely.
• Short Delay, Reverb, Shimmer: Smooth, click-free adjustment for fluid micro-control of the effect length.

Shape the sound with 3 types of filters

Each channel features a dedicated filter knob with 3 selectable modes: low-pass, high-pass, and the newly added cross-pass (making its first appearance on an AlphaTheta mixer). The knob’s left-to-right sweep structure gives both subtle and dynamic control. With the cross-pass filter, low frequencies can be retained while gently filtering the mids and highs – adding variation to vocals or melodies without compromising the track’s energy and enabling entirely new styles of performance.

Built-in SonicLink transmitter for ultra-low-latency wireless monitoring

The DJM-V5 is the first mixer to feature a built‑in SonicLink transmitter, enabling comfortable, low-latency wireless monitoring when paired with compatible headphones. Simply pair the mixer with the HDJ-F10 quickly and easily at the press of a button. For headphone models scheduled for release this year, pairing will be even more intuitive – simply touch the designated headphone area on the front panel of the DJM-V5 to make the connection.

Flexible DJ performances with PRO DJ LINK and extensive connectivity

Accurate performance support with PRO DJ LINK

By connecting the DJM-V5 to compatible DJ players – such as the CDJ-3000X or CDJ-3000 – and rekordbox via PRO DJ LINK, artists can apply effects precisely in time with the BPM. With Link Cue, artists can preview tracks while browsing – without loading them – or touch the full waveform of a track that’s currently playing to listen to what’s coming next, and adjust the volume with a new dedicated knob. And with the option to load personal mixer settings from a USB device or rekordbox, the mixer can be set up in an instant.

Extensive connectivity for a wide variety of setups

Connect the rear USB Type-C terminal to a PC/Mac to instantly integrate a setup with rekordbox for Mac/Windows or Serato DJ Pro*1 and perform using features such as DVS. The multi-device compatible MULTI I/O also features a top-panel USB Type-C port, so connecting an iPhone or iPad*2 to use DJM-REC or RMX-1000 for iPad or connect the RMX-IGNITE with a single USB cable is simple. The unit also supports insert connections with an external effector thanks to its USB send/return capabilities. From club performances to live streaming and recording, the DJM-V5 offers versatile setup options to suit any situation.
