Kurzweil Set to Introduce Four Keyboards at Winter NAMM

Anaheim, CA, January 24, 2019 — Four new keyboards from Kurzweil will make their industry debut this year at Winter NAMM. Including the KA-70 and KA-120 digital pianos and the KP150 and KP300X portable arrangers, the product group is equally comfortable at home or on the road.

Equipped with an 88-note, spring-action keyboard with adjustable touch sensitivity, the KA-70 is housed in a stage piano-style cabinet and comes with a detachable music stand and built-in four loudspeaker stereo sound system. Simple and intuitive controls offer quick access to all functions, while easy-to-use recording features enable users to store up to five different performances.

With 600 factory preset programs, 230 auto-accompaniment styles, and 128 voice polyphony, the KA-120 is lightweight (30.4 lbs.) and equipped with a MIDI song recorder. Like the KA-70, it too comes with its own built-in four loudspeaker stereo sound system and offers a simple and intuitive set of controls.

The KP150 portable arranger is a compact yet full-size 61-note keyboard with velocity sensitive, synth-action keys and 618 factory preset programs. 200 auto-accompaniment styles are found onboard, along with 128 voice polyphony. Guitar and piano phrases can be triggered via a Performance Assistant function, while Kurzweil’s proprietary Smart Learning System allows users to record and monitor their progress. A MIDI song recorder and optional battery power using six AA batteries complement the lightweight (14.9 lbs.) package.

Incorporating many of the same standard features as the rest of the product group, the KP300X portable arranger expands upon the KP150’s design with pitch blend and modulation controllers, 737 factory preset programs, 240 auto-accompaniment styles, and a 76-note, full-size, velocity-sensitive synth-action keyboard.

All four products are now shipping, and respectively have suggested retail prices of $499 (KA-70), $899 (KA-120), $499 (KP150), and $599 (KP300X). See them all at the show up close along with a number of other new Kurzweil catalog items in NAMM booth 11110, Hall A.
