L-Acoustics Launches K1/KUDO Pilot Program

L-Acoustics announces the launch of the K1/KUDO Pilot Program. This announcement follows the recent publication of an interview with Christian Heil and L-Acoustics’ marketing director Stéphane Ecalle at Prolight 2008, in which L-Acoustics unveiled the V-DOSC sequel and the future creation of a global DOSC Network.

The K1/KUDO Pilot Program will be proposed primarily to existing members of the DOSC Network—mainly V-DOSC and KUDO owners with an interest in advanced field proofing of the new K1/KUDO/LA8 system architecture for stadium and arena applications.

The K1/KUDO Pilot Program is expected to last for a period of 24 months, a necessary time prior to the official launch of the future L-Acoustics stadium line array system. K1/KUDO Pilot rental companies will closely collaborate with L-Acoustics’ R&D team and technical support. Emphasis will be put on preset validation, stadium system configurations design, rigging and general system setup and operation. Rental K1/KUDO Pilot companies will be offered a path leading to system ownership prior to its formal market introduction.

“We are pleased with the overwhelmingly positive responses we have had from our Prolight invitation among our existing V-DOSC and KUDO users,” Ecalle says. “The interest and feedback we are currently getting on the K1/KUDO/LA8 system approach and the redeployment of the DOSC Network concept is very encouraging. The new DOSC Network chart covers important concepts of minimum inventories, rental market segmentation, the adoption of a unified world standard with the new amplified controllers and a strong emphasis on user education. Our clients demand these quality standards and a formal rental Network structure.”

With the launch of the K1/KUDO Pilot Program, audiences should expect to see and hear the results of this program on national tours in the coming months.
