BUENA PARK, Calif. — Le Diplomate Audiovisual of Montreal was recently involved in installing a sound system in the Community Room of the new 6,200 sq.ft. Multisports Center in Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec Canada. Completed in January 2015, the high-quality sports facility offers a variety of activities all under one roof, including basketball, hockey, ice skating, etc. It is also used as a youth day camp when students are on holiday from school.
“The characteristics of the Community Room with its suspended low ceiling required a perfectly balanced sound dispersion, states Charles Cadieux Senior Account Manager, Sales and Integration, Le Diplomate Audiovisual.Since the room’s purpose is multi-functional, it was not just a basic paging system that was required but also a high-quality sound system.” Le Diplomate determined that the Yamaha Commercial Installation Solutions (CIS) Series would be exactly what the room required. “The conical 110-degree opening of the Yamaha VXC6W speaker and its integrated black box was perfectly designed to offer the customer a unique, desired sound quality, Cadieux says. The 60w (70v) speakers ideally meet the needs for music and sound animation, while keeping the high intelligibility for simple voice messages.”
The state-of-the-art Community Room can be separated into three parts, requiring source management and multi-zones for fluid usage and easy management by multiple users. Nearly 50 Yamaha VXC performance ceiling mounted speakers were installed, along with one Yamaha MTX 3 audio processor with DCP4V45-US wall control, three Yamaha XP7000 amplifiers, and MG10 mixer with Le Diplomate completing the programming for the matrix and multi-connection wall plates.
