New Agreement Aids Taiwan Broadcasters in Transition to Digital and HDTV

LANCASTER, PA. – Linear Acoustic, the leading authority in loudness control and upmixing solutions for digital television, is announcing an expansion into the Taiwan market through a new dealer agreement with Oceanic Trading Corporation (OTC). In response to the demand for high-quality audio processing products during the ongoing switch to digital, Linear Acoustic has selected OTC as their first dealer to provide their full line of products to the Taiwan market.

This new dealer agreement with OTC brings an opportunity for Linear Acoustic to provide the advanced technology needed to address and augment the digital transition in the region mandated by the Cable Television Act, along with associated DTV loudness control challenges. With expected investments in the industry exceeding NT$150 billion over the next five years, the transition has prompted the demand for advanced solutions across several areas, including HDTV and audio processing solutions.
