MusicBox Debuts Revolutionary New Online Suite of Music Search Capabilities

Calabasas, CA, September 23, 2008 – MusicBox, a leading music production company that provides thousands of cuts from its original music catalog, as well as original composition and scoring for television programs, promos, films, and commercials, has unveiled a revolutionary new suite of online music search and collaboration applications. For the sake of efficiency, convenience and the environment, MusicBox is now able to deliver 100% of their content via, while still affording customers the option of choosing AIFF, WAV, or mp3 formats in all of the typical sample and compression rates. All library content from MusicBox is SoundMiner compatible, and is also searchable via iTunes, Protools Digi Browser and similar DAWs. For “old schoolers,� MusicBox will also continue to make audio discs available on request.

“MusicBox LIVE� is the newest and most effective search and download engine in the history of the production music industry. With a unique and intuitive interface, engaging color scheme and more metadata per track than virtually any other library, “MusicBoxLIVE� allows for extensive Genre and Mood searches without requiring the user to have an extensive musical vocabulary.

For example, “MusicBox LIVE� offers about a dozen major genres, with each genre offering between 6 and 20 sub-categories within it. The same applies to mood, with categories such as “Positive� broken into 12 sub categories, ranging from “warm� to “magical.� A user may choose a desired mood and genre, enter any keyword that might then narrow the search further and add an instrument if preferred. Conversely, one may choose to browse by “disc.� “MusicBox LIVE� Makes this search easy with full color CD artwork, a brief description of each disc, and common sense disc titles like “Monster Metal� or “Techno Edge.�

The new MusicBox web module “MusicBox Update� is geared toward hard disc and network storage-based clientele. It is designed to deliver an entire disc’s-worth of material in one easy to download zip file. In this manner, clients can continually update their MusicBox catalogue on their own schedules, as soon as the music becomes available, and without having to rip from audio CDs or copy from DVDs.

The third new MusicBox web module, “MusicBox Files,� is a collaborative FTP area, allowing clients and MusicBox personnel the ability to share video and audio, or to facilitate quick delivery of custom music.
