NOBLE FIDELITY’S AWARD-WINNING ARCHITECTURAL LOUDSPEAKER – THE L-85 MK II FOR THE STUDIO

RENO, Nev., July 11, 2014 – Noble Fidelity (www.noble-fidelity.com), the company known as the first in the U.S. to be 100 percent EU RoHS compliant, manufacturing sustainable “Green” (eWaste) In-Wall/Ceiling loudspeakers, is proud to announce the recent launch of its award-winning mk ll version of its most popular loudspeaker – the L-85. The L-85 mk II is now shipping and retails for $899/pair.

“The recent launch of the L-85 mk ll has already garnered industry awards and tremendous accolades from customers and industry reviewers alike,” explained Greg Ford, Principal of Noble Fidelity. “The L-85 mk II 8-inch, 2-Way, high performance round mount loudspeaker is suitable for both in-ceiling or in-wall use in studio as well as high-end residential audiophile applications.”

Round and square frameless grilles are included for aesthetic choice. These grilles are frameless-bezel less, low profile, ultra-fine perf, magnetic stainless steel held firmly in place with 24 beveled neodymium magnets and may be painted to match or accent mounting surface(s).

“Utilizing a far-forward woofer mounted in a small footprint diffraction limiting frame together with a pole-mounted soft dome, lens-free tweeter, this excellent design avoids the diffraction and near-field boundary distortions that plague many other in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeaker designs,” added Ford. “They are tuned for high fidelity and linear performance in standard drywall construction, with system-concentric wide-field dispersion. The line is very closely voice-matched pursuant to the classic British octave-to-octave balance that has made a number of British loudspeaker models famous over the past 30 years.”

Additional highlights and specifications include:
• Kevlar® fiber 8-inch (203 mm) native yellow, square-woven woofer (DuPont) with butyl surround
• Tetoron® 1-inch (25 mm) pivoting soft dome tweeter, woven-textile, lens-free, neodymium motor
• Midrange and high frequency 3-position acoustic compensation switches
• Audio grade metal film polypropylene capacitor populated fiberglass board crossover circuit
• Drivers wired with audio grade, high strand count, oxygen free copper high current speaker cable
• Vibration dampening motor boots
• T-Stop signal-powered protection circuit prevents tweeter driver failure
• Heavy spring-loaded gold-plated connection terminals accommodate up to 10 gauge speaker cable
• Edge/Ledge smoothing diffraction ring
• 24 beveled neodymium grille retention magnets
• Square seating dog ears clamp down to 5/16-inch (8 mm)

• Includes nylon insulation isolating top hat. Top hats “pop” into shape covering the top of the loudspeaker protecting it from ceiling/roof insulation material fibers and dust. Top hats are acoustically “absent” in that they do not restrict cone excursion
• Frequency response: 38Hz – 21kHz ±3dB on reference axis
• Sensitivity: 91dB spl (2.83V, 1m)
• Nominal impedance: 8 Ohms
• Recommended amplifier power: 5W – 200W on unclipped program within frequency domain
