For the first time in 13 years, Ocean Way’s famed Studio A is now available for outside bookings. The expansive classic tracking studio designed by Bill Putnam in 1958 with large iso room has been booked solid by renowned producer/mixer Jack Joseph Puig, who will now take over Studio D, Ocean Way’s new mix and overdub suite featuring a Neve 88R console. Puig will continue to utilize Studio A for tracking dates.

Studio A is well known as an excellent rock and roll tracking room but is equally well-respected as a superb room for orchestras and film scoring. The highly customized OWR Focusrite console remains in A. One of the largest collections of rare and esoteric outboard gear ever assembled resides in this room, and included is access to the unparalleled Ocean Way microphone collection. Studio A features the original Motown 9′ Steinway grand piano to accompany Ocean Way’s historic Steinway B.
