Production Music Association Announces Winners of First Annual “MARK AWARDS”

MARK AWARDS Handed Out in 17 Categories at First Annual Event Sept. 9th in LA

Hollywood, CA, September 14, 2015 – The non-profit Production Music Association (PMA,) the leading advocate and voice of the production music community, has announced the winners of the first Annual “Mark Awards” for Excellence in Production Music. The inaugural event took place on September 9, 2015, at the Directors Guild of America headquarters in Los Angeles, concurrently with the PMA’s Second Annual Production Music Conference (PMC.) 

Named in honor of the late Andy Mark, who was a music library owner and a founding member of the PMA, the Mark Awards recognize the very best in production music in 17 categories. 

Renowned composer Brian Tyler delivered the keynote talk, as conducted by noted journalist Jon Burlingame, during the Second Annual PMC Event, which also presented 10 panels covering numerous topics pertinent to the production music industry. Hunter Williams is the Executive Director of the PMA. 

The Winners of the 2015 “Mark Awards” are: 

Hall of Fame Award:  Composer Gerhard Narholz, founder of Sonoton Production Music. The PMA assembled an independent group of industry professionals, culled from executives working within TV networks, ad agencies, promo departments, trailer companies, and licensing organizations, to facilitate the submissions, judging, and final selection of Mark Awards winners.
