Professional Audio Design (PAD) Drives Sales Initiatives in Northeast with Appointment of Joe Clapp

Boston, MA, September 16, 2009–Professional Audio Design (PAD) announced that it has hired veteran Boston-based engineer Joe Clapp as sales engineer/sales consultant. In his new role, Clapp will be responsible for driving Northeastern territory sales while assisting the rest of the PAD team in its international sales and other initiatives. Mr. Clapp will report directly to Dave Malekpour, President of PAD in the newly created position.

Clapp is an accomplished engineer and former owner of Boston-based Ultrasound Productions. As a producer/engineer, Clapp’s production and engineering credits include hundreds of Boston area bands, the Ultrasound Music Library and a track from an upcoming Sylvester Stallone film. The depth of his expertise as a user of high-end audio equipment makes him a perfect asset to the PAD team, which prides itself on its outstanding integration, support and maintenance capabilities.

“These days, pro audio consumers

want a lot more than what’s in the box,” commented Dave Malekpour. “They want to know how a certain piece of gear will operate in their specific work environment and how it will help them achieve both their short and long term goals. Joe will make our sales team even stronger and help us deliver the kind of support that makes us unique among our competitors.”

With over 20 years of experience as an engineer and having operated his own business since 1992, Clapp has a natural affinity with PAD customers: “I’ve used all of the equipment we sell pretty extensively over the last several years, so I can relate to our customers when they are struggling with making a purchasing decision or integration issue,” he says. “I believe that the level of support PAD offers is unique in the industry–we know a lot more than what’s in the box and how much it costs.”
