Professional Audio Panels Held at SAE Institute Contribute to A3C Festival’s Success

SAE Institute hosted a series of music production panels at their Atlanta campus in conjunction with the A3C Hip Hop Festival, which was held in October 2013.

SAE Atlanta has partnered with A3C for a number of off-site festival events since 2009, but this year’s festival was the first where all professional audio-related forums and presentations were held at the school.

“The collaboration between SAE Atlanta and A3C is a perfect match,” says Brian Knott, creator of the A3C Festival.  “A3C’s goal is to bring knowledge and practical experience to aspiring artists, and that’s what SAE does every day.  It’s the ideal venue for what we offer, and we look forward to maintaining a long relationship with them.”

A3C will celebrate its 10 year anniversary with next year’s 2014 festival.  Last month’s festival was the most successful in terms of the number of registrants who attended and the variety of exhibits, content offerings, and panels that were presented.

“We’re very proud to host the Pro Audio Experience component of A3C,” says Brad McDonald, director of Student Services and Career Development at SAE Institute Atlanta.  “Our students have access to audio and music industry professionals everyday – it’s a big part of what we do at SAE Atlanta. Partnering with A3C for strong educational content featuring an exceptional group of producers, engineers, and artists who are all here to share their knowledge is a natural extension of our audio technology program.  Plus, it makes for a fun, action packed weekend.”

Some of the biggest names in hip hop production and engineering talent participated in A3C’s professional audio presentations at SAE, including Grammy-winners Symbolyc One, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, !llmind, and Organized Noize.

Grammy award-winning producer Focus was a featured panelist at the 2013 A3C Festival’s professional audio events, which were held at SAE Institute Atlanta.

Whoever hasn’t checked out SAE needs to seriously rethink things,” says Grammy award-winning producer Focus, who was a featured panelist at SAE’s forums and has worked with such artists as Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Busta Rhymes, and The Game.  “The school has everything that an aspiring engineer or producer could ever need, and it’s the ultimate place to learn your craft.”
