Capon Springs, West Virginia (March 8, 2017) –Producer, Mixer, Engineer and Recording Artist Ronan Chris Murphy, founder of Recording Boot Camp, the intensive, hands-on training course which attracts attendees from around the world to learn their craft from working audio engineers and studio professionals, announces the second annual acclaimed Mountain Recording Retreat, a five day, rustic luxury retreat for music recording lovers and engineers, to be held May 7-12, 2017 at Capon Springs West Virginia. Capon Springs is just 90 minutes from Washington Dulles airport.
The all-inclusive, one-of-a-kind Mountain Recording Retreat will gather recording enthusiatsts at Capon Springs, a classic mountain resort, where engineers and experts can learn from each other, share meals and leisure activities, and gather with others in an intentionally casual and social atmosphere designed to foster creativity. This year’s retreat will feature a series of workshops and panels by leading professionals in the industry as well as sessions of intense, hands-on DIY recording equipment building workshops. One of the featured panels will be: Behind the Scenes of Video Game Audio, with Mark Kilborn, one of the audio director/sound designers for Call of Duty and John Rodd, music engineer for games such as World of Warcraft and Star Wars Kinect, .Ronan Chris Murphy will moderate, who recorded and mixed the music for Mafia III. The DIY Gear Building workshops will be presented by Peterson Goodwyn, owner of DIY Recording Equipment, a leader in the DIY gear movement. Engineer Brad Smalling will host listening and feedback sessions with the mentors of attendee’s work.
