Rhodes Music and Gilles Peterson Present Triology: Volume One Featuring Amaro Freitas

London, United Kingdom, October 7, 2024 — Rhodes Music, in collaboration with renowned DJ, radio broadcaster, and Worldwide FM founder Gilles Peterson, is excited to announce the launch of Triology. This video series celebrates the magic of live music through intimate performances and in-depth conversations with talented artists, all centered around the iconic Rhodes MK8 piano.

The first episode, Triology Volume One, features visionary Brazilian pianist Amaro Freitas, whose unique style blends Afro-Brazilian rhythms with the influences of jazz greats like John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk. Captured live at Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Basement studio in London, this episode showcases a captivating performance by Amaro alongside session musicians David Mrakpor and Sam ‘Barrell’ Jones. In addition to the performance, Amaro and Gilles delve into a conversation about Amaro’s musical background, from studying music at university to his influences, and his latest record, Y’Y.

About the Triology Series
Triology is a series curated by Gilles Peterson in collaboration with Rhodes Music. Set within the cozy confines of Brownswood Basement, each episode showcases the versatility and rich sound of the Rhodes MK8 piano, while featuring a trio of musicians who offer spontaneous, creative performances. Viewers are treated to both live renditions of songs and insightful interviews with the artists.

Following the first episode with Amaro Freitas, two more episodes are set to be released on October 14th and November 28th, each featuring a new trio of talented musicians. These upcoming episodes promise even more unforgettable performances and inspiring conversations, continuing the celebration of live music and artistry at the heart of the Triology series.
