Marina del Rey, CA, March 12, 2008 – RipTide Music, a leading source of licensed music for the motion picture, television, TV promo, videogame and advertising industries, has announced its exclusive, worldwide representation of the soundtrack from the videogame ”Lair.” The announcement was made jointly today by Rich Goldman, President, RipTide Music, and Chuck Doud, Director of Music for Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA.)
The soundtrack to the videogame “Lair” is by Academy Award nominated composer John Debney. Debney earned a 2005 Oscar nomination for “Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score,” for his contribution to the international hit film, “The Passion of the Christ.” RipTide Music will now seek new licensing deals for the “Lair” soundtrack from within the film, TV and advertising arenas. The “Lair” soundtrack has been recognized throughout the videogame industry, and has secured multiple awards and award nominations.
