ROYER LABS ANNOUNCES NEW WEBSITE

Burbank, CA… Royer Labs, recognized globally as a leading manufacturer of high quality ribbon microphones, is pleased to announce that the company’s newly designed website is up and running at www.royerlabs.com. Designed as an ever-expanding resource for information about Royer’s highly regarded ribbon microphone line, the new site makes it easier than ever to find step-by-step application notes and tutorials in addition to each product’s features and specifications. Featuring a clean, unencumbered layout, the new website is easy to navigate and it provides a wealth of audiovisual materials—enabling existing and prospective customers alike to get the most out of their microphone investment. Royer Labs will be exhibiting at the AES show in New York – booth #562.

The re-designed Royer Labs website is a terrific tool for learning which Royer ribbon microphone is best suited to a specific application. When researching a

product, site visitors are now presented

with various

awards that product has received, published product reviews, applications the microphone is best suited for and, of course, the microphone’s cutsheet and manual. Of particular note, there is a new Audio Samples feature that enables one to hear selected portions of a mix, followed by the isolated Royer ribbon tracks. This new feature enables one to hear actual recordings made with the microphones along with information about the microphone’s placement and other equipment integral to the recording. Equally significant, each main section—Studio Microphones and Live Microphones—provides high profile user quotes, references to projects/acts where the microphone was deployed, plus links to images.

“The Audio Samples segment of the re-designed website enables people to actually hear our ribbon mics in the context for which they were designed, states John Jennings, Royer Labs’ VP of Sales and Marketing. “Part of the process of engineering a great recording is using the right tools for the job. In addition to helping take the mystique out of the product selection process, the new site goes a long way toward opening people’s eyes to what you can do with ribbon microphones.

The website’s Using Ribbon Mics section represents a huge step forward in Royer Labs’ efforts to provide world-class customer support. Here, visitors will find step-by-step guides for obtaining optimum results when miking specific instruments along with tips from noted engineers on how they use and maintain their Royer ribbons.

Visitors will also find session/concert tour photos and various audio samples documenting the project. These materials provide further insight into the use of ribbon microphones for a wealth of applications. Visitors will be particularly interested in the site’s new Engineer and Artist Comments & Videos section. Here, one can gain additional perspective into the qualities that make Royer ribbon microphones such appealing tools for both live and studio applications. Similarly, they can access Royer Lab’s demonstration CD, where they can either download the content or order a disc. Additional site attributes include the history of the ribbon microphone, a look at Royer Labs’ manufacturing process, and information regarding Royer’s repair services.

“Ribbon microphones have found a solid following in both studio and stage applications, says Jennings, “and our new site provides multiple perspectives on the product selection process. Our primary concern throughout the design phase for the new site was to make it easier than ever for people to find the information they’re looking for and I genuinely believe the new design makes our site an exceptional resource for educators and others seeking information about ribbon microphones. For all products, visitors will find photos, recording notes, and audio samples that are designed to help them best determine which microphone is right for them.
