The Shoe Kicks It Up with New Carl Tatz Design MixRoom™

– Trend observed as The Shoe becomes second Olympia, Washington studio to choose Carl Tatz Design’s MixRoom™ and PhantomFocus™ System technology –

Nashville, TN: During the commissioning of engineer/producer and studio owner Joe Hier’s new Carl Tatz Design MixRoom™ in Olympia, Washington, he was encouraged to choose a name for his beautiful new residential studio, when he quipped, “The Shoe.” Since he and his wife are the parents of eight young cherubs, it seemed only a fitting moniker, so overnight together the family designed the logo you see on the control room’s video screen.

The Shoe joins Olympia’s GoMedia as Washington State’s second CTD MixRoom, a concept that is ushering in the new standard for control room design and accurate monitoring, all featuring the acclaimed PhantomFocus™ System (PFS™) and Carl Tatz Signature Series™ by Auralex® family of control room acoustic modules.

“The PhantomFocus System is amazing. We’re listening to music that we’ve been listening to for years, and now realize we’ve never really heard it before! No detail is lost, and the imaging is beyond compare,” reports Hier. “My MixRoom environment together with the PFS makes production and mixing a dream. The first thing we did was remix my entire new album and the difference, between pre and post MixRoom, was night and day. Now I can create with confidence, knowing that a great sound in my room will translate anywhere.”
