Los Angeles CA — Slate Digital is the latest sponsor to pledge their support for the 2015 Recording Industry Golf Tournament™ (RIGT), which will be held Monday, June 29, 2015, at MountainGate Country Club in L.A., with the shotgun start at 12:00 noon. In addition to hosting a hole, Slate Digital will also be providing a state-of-the-art RAVEN MTi touchscreen recording console as the prize for the “opportunity board” buy-in drawing game that will be running all day as part of the tournament.
Other newly announced sponsors include the Audio Engineering Society (AES), Record Plant and Vintage King, all returning as annual supporters; first-time sponsor Barefoot Sound, who is providing speakers for a hole-in-one prize; and Hotel Angeleno, also a first-time sponsor.

The RAVEN MTi is cutting-edge hardware that integrates directly with the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), allowing for instantaneous control of all of the user’s DAW parameters. The console facilitates quick navigation through any virtual production environment and adds many workflow-enhancing features through its user-customizable controls. Imagine turning your DAW mixer into a multitouch controller or editing your audio with a single touch… the RAVEN MTi is capable of this and more! The MTi works with a variety of plugins, allowing you to control the parameters directly on the screen with your fingers. Because the MTi is a virtual control surface, its expandability is virtually limitless.
The event is again being organized by seasoned event producer Karen Dunn of KMD Productions and will support the music program at A Place Called Home, a dynamic community center and safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where underserved youth 8-21 years old are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being. Recording veterans Ed Cherney and Al Schmitt will return as Honorary Co-Chairs for the afternoon’s festivities.

Dunn is still accepting participation entries, whether as sponsors, golfers or both. In addition to the 18 holes of pristine golfing, the day will include a $1 million shoot-out opportunity, a hole-in-one Hyundai giveaway, a Bartels’ Harley Davidson motorcycle hole-in-one giveaway, a $10,000 hole-in-one prize, scotch tasting, great food, poker, a “19th hole” and more. The picturesque course, designed by legendary golf course architect Ted Robinson, is centrally located, not far from downtown L.A. The course features beautiful views, a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and much more. Dunn and the industry veteran Rose Mann-Cherney will be driving the “world famous tequila cart” to make sure all of the day’s participants are playing their best.

The list of previously-announced confirmed sponsors includes Absolute Live Productions, Audio-Technica, Bob Hodas Acoustic Analysis, Clyne Media, Guitar Center Professional, Hyundai, Icebox Water, JBL, NAMM, The Recording Studio Insurance Program, Sterling Audio, studioexpresso.com, TransAudio Group, United Recording Studios and Westlake Recording Studios, with more being added by the week. Hyundai will once again be taking the winning foursome to their Hyundai National Invitational in Vegas.
