Tower of Power Masters “Soul Side of Town” at Bernie’s

Tower of Power co-producer Joe Vannelli recently mastered the band’s new album, “Soul Side of Town,” at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Produced by Vannelli and ToP leader Emilio Castillo, the new album “Soul Side of Town” is an amalgamation of funk, soul, vintage R&B, groove, pop and rock, and is the centerpiece of a celebratory 50th Anniversary campaign.

“Soul Side of Town” has an arsenal of powerful songs that delve into the golden canon of classics with a fresh approach to new material, picking up the torch in all of the time-tested styles that ToP fans have embraced over the years. The new collection is comprised of vibrant and intricately woven tunes that exhibit a range in musicality that’s both modern and classically electrifying. The album ranges from instant classics like “Hangin’ With My Baby,” “Butter Fried” and “After Hours” to the funky “Stop” and love songs “I Can’t Stop Thinking About You,” “Love Must Be Patient and Kind,” “Let It Go,” and “Do It With Soul.”
