Rae Morris, rising star from Blackpool, England, has recorded her debut album at Ocean Way in Hollywood. The as-yet-untitled album was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Haim) and recorded by Dave Schiffman (Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Mars Volta).

Morris has been writing and playing music for for only a few years, mainly in small venues in and around Preston, Manchester, and her hometown of Blackpool. After finishing her A level high school exams in the Spring of 2011, Morris’ music garnered considerable attention from the music industry after she posted two tracks on her Myspace site, resulting in her signing to both Atlantic Records and Universal Music Publishing before Christmas of the same year.

Since then Morris has been adopted by Burberry, the iconic British luxury clothing brand established in1856. She has recorded two Burberry acoustic sessions and had her song “Walls” featured on the Burberry catwalk during London Fashion Week. Morris recorded her debut EP with Charlie Fink from Noah and The Whale, and the second EP with Fryars. Morris has toured with Bombay Bicycle Club, Fink, Lianne Le Havas and Tom Odell.

Producer Ariel Rechtshaid is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter most recognized for his work with Usher on his Grammy-winning hit “Climax,” Vampire Weekend’s “Modern Vampires Of The City,” and the debut record from Haim, “Days Are Gone.” He is also known for his work with Major Lazer, Charli XCX, Alex Clare, Cass McCombs, Murs, and Plain White T’s, whose No.1, Platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated single “Hey There Delilah” he produced.

Rae Morris’ debut album will be released in Spring 2014, preceded by singles starting with “Do You Even Know” in February 2014. Her debut release will coincide with an extensive touring schedule, both supporting and headlining throughout the UK and Europe with the first headline full band show on February 27th at The Lexington in London.
