Quincy Jones and Al Schmitt Honored for Commitment to Music Excellence
Vintage King Audio was a co-sponsor of The Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing celebration of its sixth annual Grammy Week event titled “An Evening Of Jazz.” The packed event honored 27-time Grammy-winning producer Quincy Jones and 18-time Grammy-winning producer/engineer Al Schmitt for their commitment to excellence and ongoing support for the art and craft of recorded music. The event was held during Grammy Week on February 6, 2013, at The Village in West Los Angeles.
Scores of musical luminaries visited Studio A’s demo suite and margarita bar hosted by PMC Speakers. Among the guests were NAMM President Joe Lamond, producer Ken Caillat and recording artist Holly Quin-Ankrah, P&E Wing Executive Director Maureen Droney, producer/engineer Nathaniel Kunkel and wife Justine, singer/songwriter Kristina Helene, and event host Tom Menrath, Strategic Development for Vintage King Audio.
