Joining in the champagne toast festivities are Auralex Founder/President Eric Smith, and award-winning studio designer Carl Tatz, whose CTD MixRoom concept, which pairs the Carl Tatz Signature Series acoustic modules by Auralex with the unrivaled accuracy of the PhantomFocus System monitor tuning protocol, is fully employed at the Vintage King Nashville MixRoom.

“We are more than honored for being recognized by the TEC Awards for this achievement,” said Vintage King Audio’s Founder, Mike Nehra. “This no doubt was a team effort among Carl Tatz, Auralex, Sound Construction and Vintage King. Everyone’s collaborative vision is what makes the Vintage King Nashville Control Room so special and sound so good. We took great care in properly tuning the room to accommodate a wide range of monitors and gear. When you walk into the room you sometimes forget that you are actually standing in a retail location.”

The project was very much a team effort due to last year’s very tight time constraints at the newly opened Nashville headquarters and its unique application of being a MixRoom as well as a retail show room. All involved, from Vintage King personnel to Sound Construction and Supply for the custom designed desk, SkinnyFish Studio Services for the wiring, all the gear manufacturers and the Carl Tatz Design craftsmen, helped to facilitate its completion.

“The Vintage King Nashville CTD MixRoom has been an absolute success with our customers since day one,” commented Chad Evans, Vintage King Nashville national sales rep. “With the TEC award, it gives us great satisfaction to see that our peers recognize it as well. Hats off to Carl Tatz Design for making it a reality.”
