Seattle, WA (Oct. 10, 2019) – GameSoundCon, the largest professional conference for video game music and sound design, will offer conference attendees hands-on experiences with Magic Leap, a revolutionary spatial computing platform that lets you see and interact with digital content in the world around you. Their first product, Magic Leap One, is a lightweight, wearable computer that enriches your experience in the real world with digital content, in everything from commerce and entertainment to communications and productivity.
Brian Schmidt, GameSoundCon Founder and Executive Director, is extremely excited about having Magic Leap on board this year: “Spatial computing presents a huge new opportunity in interactive audio design, even for the most experienced game sound designer or composer. I’m thrilled that Magic Leap will be doing hands-on workshops in creating audio for spatial computing at GameSoundCon.”
During the three new workshops, sound designers and audio creators can jump into the Magic Leap platform and build their first app for Magic Leap One. They will be able to dive into spatial audio and integrate the spatial audio toolset Magic Soundfield Audio in their project. The presenters will demonstrate the amazing ways to tie sound design and music with the key platform features including gestures, headpose, and more and layout key considerations and techniques to design and mix sound for spatial computing. Magic Leap’s expert audio designers will be using the Lumin SDK, Unity Game Engine as well as its native audio engine and work one on one with the workshop participants.
Additionally, Magic Leap presents two cutting-edge talks at GameSoundCon:
Aquasonics of the Unknown Order (Wednesday, Oct. 30, 9:15 am – 10:15 am):
