YAMAHA COMMERCIAL AUDIO SYSTEMS TO SPONSOR SPORTS VIDEO GROUP SPORTS AUDIO SUMMIT IN NEW YORK CITY

BUENA PARK, Calif.─ Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. will sponsor a special Sports Audio Summit to be held for Sports Video Group members on October 22 at the New York Hilton Hotel in New York City. The day will focus on discussions regarding alternative sports audio technologies and approaches to control as the industry moves toward the issue of solid and consistent audio for DTV transition. The event will focus on recently announced solutions, current workflows, next-generation approaches, as well as a look at the current White Spaces issue.

In addition to sponsoring the day’s event, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems will take part in a 60 minute discussion on Consoles for Sports at 9:30 am. Event check-in is at 8:45 am, followed by breakfast. Sports broadcasting pushes the limits of audio consoles and audio crews as the latest technology assists in enabling an ‘in your face’ experience for fans. How are consoles evolving to better meet the needs of sports sub-mix and Surround Sound demands? Moderated by Dan Daley, SVG Audio Editor, David Hatmaker, R&D Manager for Yamaha Commercial Audio will be joined by console manufacturers SSL, Euphonix, Calrec, and Studer.

“We welcome the opportunity to speak to broadcast, post-production, and remote broadcast audio teams at this very important event, states Marc Lopez, marketing manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. “We encourage our customers, both present and future, to join David Hatmaker and explore not only advancements in digital technology for 2009 broadcast and beyond, but solutions for broadcast audio that Yamaha has developed specifically for this market.
