BUENA PARK, Calif.⎯Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. announces the InfoComm 2010 debut of two new professional CD players that specifically address the A/V installation market. Yamaha CD-S300-RK, a single disc CD player and CD-C600-RK, a six-disc carousel model, feature the same high-quality sound one expects from a Yamaha professional audio product. Contractors will appreciate the inclusion of rack ears for easy mounting as well as Yamaha IMX644 rackmount mixer compatibility.
Both models feature numerous playback functions, and thanks to a USB port on the front panel, when using a USB cable, the unit enables superior audio playback from MP3 and WMA files stored on USB players, memory cards or other devices such as iPods. A digital signal is generated by the player with no degradation or jitter, then converted to analog by the DAC, and transmitted to the amplifier via high-quality audio circuitry.
The Yamaha CD-S300-RK and
CD-C600-RK CD players offer Pure Direct, a listening mode that provides high-quality analog audio output, a popular feature in Yamaha amplifiers and receivers. With the press of a button, Pure Direct will shut down the digital audio output on the front panel of the unit or on the remote control, turning off the display in order to achieve the lowest possible noise interference.

The Yamaha CD-C600-RK also features an RS-232C, IR In/Out, and a PlayXchange function that allows for CDs to be changed while current program material is playing without disruption.
Expected delivery for both models is July 2010 with a suggested retail price of $299.00 for CD-S300-RK and $379.00 for CD-C600-RK.
