Focusrite has released Version 2 software for the Saffire Professional Mobile FireWire audio interface, which is available now for download.
The update includes: enhanced operation at 192 kHz, crisp new graphics and tool tips for the Saffire Control software, and improved Firewire bus connectivity.
In addition to 4 inputs, 10 outputs, and up to five separate user-defined stereo mixes, the Saffire also provides Focusrite plug-ins including compression, EQ, reverb and amp modeling. Powered by the Saffire’s internal DSP, the plug-ins are available during recording and also on playback as VST or AU software plug-ins causing no drain on the host computer CPU.
