Vox Amplification has introduced the latest addition to its Custom Classic line of all-tube amplifiers, the AC15 Custom Classic. Joining the AC30 Custom Classic, the AC15CC offers the tone and response of the AC15 amplifier in a new package.
The latest evolution of the Voc AC15 Watt combo, originally introduced in 1958, offers a wider array of top panel controls including Input, Master Volume, Treble and Bass. Also included is fully variable Tremolo with Speed and Depth controls, as well as global Reverb.
The AC15 Custom Classic utilizes two EL84/6BQ5 and two 12AX7/ECC83 valves. Dual speaker jacks are provided, as well as an Impedance Selector control (8 or 16 Ohms). The included VF002 dual footswitch can be used for quick and easy switching of reverb or tremolo onstage or in the studio.
Two versions are available: The AC15CC1, featuring a Vox Custom 12-inch 30-watt speaker, or the AC15CC1X, featuring a Celestion AlNiCo “Blue” 12-inch speaker. Both models feature the Vox diamond grill cloth and classic “chicken head” style pointer knobs.
The VOX AC15CC1 and AC15CC1X are available this month with respective U.S. MSRPs of $899 and $1399.
