Legendary Producer Arif Mardin Passes Away

Arif Mardin—one of the most influential and noteworthy Grammy-winning producers in the history of popular music, whose credits include Aretha Franklin, Willie Nelson, the Bee Gees and Norah Jones—passed away on June 25 in New York at age 74. Mix will pay tribute to Mardin in an upcoming issue.
