Chameleon DSP

Soundart has released South Pole V 1.0, a new Open Source project released for the Chameleon 24-bit DSP.

Developed by Aleix Riera, South Pole features four parallel filter bank lines with SP-delay and Hot Saturation units. The possibility of very low frequency generation provides the musician with an opportunity to make large and endless sustained sounds and chords.

The main features of South Pole v1.0 include: a filter bank with three 24 dB filters (lowpass, bandpass and highpass), a low frequency oscillator bank, SP delay unit, Hot Saturation unit, global mixer, and factory and user presets bank.

SouthPole is available as a free download for Chameleon users at www.soundart-hot.com/english/users1_10.htm.

In addition, Riera has setup a Website to host the soundskin, including documentation in English and source code. Visit www.fjarre.com/users/aleix/southpole to download information.
