CLEVELAND, OH — Cleveland-based producer Henri Rapp served as producer on comedian David A. Arnold’s Netflix stand-up special Fat Ballerina, working directly with Arnold from early creative conversations through final delivery to the platform.

While the special’s executive production team, including Kevin Hart and Dave Becky, managed the Netflix deal, Rapp handled the taping itself. That meant translating Arnold’s creative vision into a shot special that met Netflix’s technical specifications, then building a production budget around those creative goals.

Rapp led the project end to end. He scouted the venue, hired the video production crew, and sourced the staging, lighting, camera, and audio packages. On set, he ran production logistics and crew operations, keeping a multi-camera stand-up shoot on schedule and on spec.

The work continued well past the taping. Rapp oversaw the full post-production pipeline, coordinating an external editor, a motion graphics team, a composer, and an audio post facility, then managed the export and final submission directly to Netflix.

The same process that delivered a Netflix special runs every video production through Rapp Creative Studio. The budget and crew size change with the project. The producer running it doesn’t.
