SPL Invests in NSCA Education

The NSCA Education Foundation has met its $100,000 fundraising challenge due to a sizable donation of $8,400 from SPL Integrated Solutions. The donation came at an ideal time as the Shure Inc. matching campaign came to a close on July 31, 2006. Last August, Shure announced a commitment to support the continued education of commercial electronic systems professionals by matching 33.33 percent of contributions made to the NSCA Education Foundation through July 31, 2006.

“It is so exciting to see members of the industry join together to support the future of the commercial electronic systems industry through education,” says Tony Price, president of the NSCA Education Foundation. “Without forward-thinking and leadership from companies like SPL, the industry’s future success would not be possible.”

Chad Gillenwater, president and CEO of SPL Integrated Solutions, says, “One of the biggest bottlenecks to growing the electronics systems industry, and to our own growth, is the availability of trained and experienced A/V and electronics systems professionals. We can’t satisfy our customers unless we have trained and certified engineers and technicians to effectively install the technologically advanced systems that we sell. I believe the NSCA Education Foundation is one of the most important organizations for helping to train more electronics systems personnel in our industry. We are pleased to provide this contribution to support the foundation.”

The funds raised from this campaign will be used toward development of new curriculum and tuition assistance for NSCA University training programs, EST and outreach to students entering the industry including student scholarships.
