JBL VERTEC AT WORLD CUP

Korean rental sound companies Daishin Sound and Kukae Sound teamed up to provide a total of 64 VerTec line array speaker systems for the 2002 World Cup Opening Ceremony at Seoul’s Sangam Stadium. The JBL VT4889s were mounted on 16 portable sound system carts, along with associated Crown MA-Series power amplifiers and BSS signal processing, and then wheeled into position. Groups of JBL self-powered EON speakers aimed back at the field provided music and cues for the hundreds of pageant performers.
