Brauner Microphones will unveil the Phantom V—the company’s first variable pattern, nontube (FET), large-diaphragm microphone—at AES (booth #602). The latest in Brauner’s Phantom Series offers switchable omni-directional, cardioid and figure-8 polar patterns, and a -15dB pad.
The Dirk Brauner-designed, German-crafted Phantom V features a satin-nickel finish, self-noise of 8 dBa, maximum SPL of 142 dB at 0.3% THD and a frequency range of 20-22k Hz. The Phantom V package comes complete with the Brauner SMV shock-mount suspension system and a custom aluminum case. MSRP: $2,500.
